LIVING THE DREAM

 What does this mean?

Living the dream!

We are always told to CHASE our dreams.

When I think of CHASING YOUR DREAMS I always imagine a cartoon seen like Tom and Jerry.  Where Tom the cat is chasing Jerry the mouse and Jerry is forever a few steps out of Tom's reach.  Jerry has a grin on his face and making fun of Tom as something silly happens to Tom that is not for his good.  Jerry is always just out of reach and unattainable.

So this is how I see it when I hear people say "Chase your dreams".  To me it is like the dream is always going to be just out of reach.  You are so close, but oh so far.  And there seems to be excuses attached as to why the dream could not be cought.  "If only" this happened, or that happened or what ever.

WHAT IF we changed some wording?

What if We LIVED OUR DREAM?

How would this change the outcome?

How do we live our dream when it is still a fantasy in our mind?

How can you LIVE YOUR DREAM when it seems so unattainable at this point in time?

Your Dreams are your dreams no one else's.  Only you know what it is that you truly want.

Chasing things can be exhausting.  When you stop chasing and give yourself the opportunity to wait and breath you can see what is around you.  This gives you time to reflect and appreciate and give gratitude.  Most humans are not, by design meant to chase.  They are meant to wait.  By waiting, this does not mean do nothing.  See below what you can be doing while you are waiting.  Sometimes you need to be fully where you are at this point in time before the next step is available to you.  It is like stepping across a stream  where you hop from one rock to the next.  Between each step to the next rock you look around to see which rock is best for you to step onto next.

Allow yourself or give yourself permission the time to daydream about your DREAM.

Surround yourself with pictures, books and things to remind you of your DREAM

Learn a little bit everyday about your DREAM

Find mentors, coaches and people who will support you.  Ask questions of them and learn some of the skills that they learnt and put your uniqueness to it.  Mentors don't need to be people you know personally, they have qualities and skills that you can learn from.  What is it about them that you would like to incorporate to help you grow and Live Your Dream.

Be aware of who you tell.  Not everyone will be in your corner.  Be OK with that.

Stay unattached to the outcome.  This can be tough, but when you trust and keep faith the outcome can be so much more then you imagined.  Sometimes it can be nothing like you imagined.  It can be better.  When you are trying to control the outcome it is hard to see what it is when you get there and often leads to disappointment.

Body awareness, notice how you feel in your body when you day dream, or talk about it?  Where are you feeling it in your body?  What emotions do you feel?  Once you start to be come aware of what is happening in your body you can use this like a compass.  Your body will let you know if what you are doing at any given time is taking you closer to your dream or moving you away from your dream.

Add to the end of your dream statement when you speak it, think it or write it, " This or something better for my highest good and all concerned."

And know that it is OK to change your mind about a particular dream.  It may not be for you right now or at all.  It may even be a stepping stone to something even better.  This is why it is important to stay unattached to the outcome.  As you grow and evolve your dreams will too.

The dream is not you.  It is only a small part of you.

Sunset and Sunrise are a great time of the to either daydream or reflect.

Here's to living your dream

Hibernating or Hiding

I have been Hibernating or hiding out.

As part of our cycle of life it is important to hibernate.  It helps us to appreciate how far we have come, to regenerate, rejuvenate, to put things back into perspective, to plan and get ready to take life's next steps.  I have been hibernating, the only thing is I forgot to come back out.  I have stayed hidden.

I stayed in hibernation because I didn't know how to come back out after I got scared and let my self talk and made up stories block me from taking my next steps.  There are so many things that need my attention in the process of my hiding out and calling it hibernation I procrastinated and then everything started piling up on top of me causing me to doubt myself even more and retreat even further.

The thing is I am aware of what I do.  Sometimes it might take a little while for me to catch on, but something will trigger me into awareness.  It is amazing how being aware can create options.  And when there are options there are possibilities.  So now that I have awareness of my hiding out I can make changes.  I have options I can call on.

So what are my options?
~ Stay where I am.  Go back into hiding.
~ Poke my head out of the cave and see what is out there and then retreat.
~ Get my plan that I have created and charge at things like a bull at a gate.
~ Take one step at a time and with each new step trust that the next step will present itself when I go to lift my foot to take that next step.

So my next step is to trust the next step.
It will be sharing what I am learning and living.
Finish my book.  "The Power of Living Simply"
Share my podcast - telling stories of my other passions - Quarter Horse Racing stories
Work my family cattle station and earthmoving businesses.
Host retreats and workshops here on our outback cattle station and where ever I am invited, even on the web.
Play with my horses.

I know it all sounds like a lot, but for me they are all entwined.  I know it won't be balanced all the time.  I would be kidding myself if I thought I could have it Balanced.  Sometimes it is going to be like a wild, rough seesaw ride and other times it is going to be a smooth up and down.  The thing about seesaws is they work best when they are moving up and down.

I would love for you to share your awareness of when you hibernate or hide and what happened when you came out to play.  Share below in the comments.

Many Blessing

A reading from Big Miracles

Below is a reading from the book Big Miracles by Joanna Garzilli

What are your thoughts?

How can you live without EGO?

Have a fantastic day

Sunday, March 18, 2018

Hello...... Long time in posting

Wow it has been a very long time since I have posted here.

There has been so much go on for me and I can imagine that it is possibly the same for you too.

Early last year I started a Face Book group called YOUR AMAZING YOU..  It is a group to remind ourselves just how amazing we are.  I have up until recently just been sharing feel good stuff and quotes to inspire.
https://www.facebook.com/groups/youramazingyou/

I then created a deck of cards and started posting photos of the cards and a little bit on their meaning.  Now I have braved up and started posting video of me and the cards and other insights I get.  The video posting started as part of a 90 day challenge I am doing called #bigmiracles.  One of my friends and mentor Joanna Garzilli is hosting this 90 challenge group and she is hosting a webinar every day for the 90 days.  So I challenged myself to

1. be more visible by posting 20 videos per 30 day block so 60 videos in total for the 90 days
2. complete the manuscript for my book I am writing
3. sell 100 packs or more of my Your Amazing You cards

If you would like to join in on the Big Miracle group follow this link https://www.facebook.com/groups/bigmiracles/  You can join in live at the same time every day which is 7am Queensland time or 2pm Pacific ST.  Or you can catch up and watch the replays from day 1 onwards.

So now I need writing practice and to share my book thoughts and my videos.  I will be doing this through this blog and Instagram and YouTube.  More practice at being visible.

I hope you enjoy my insights and I look forward to any feedback that will help me get a better message out to you.

Many Hoof Print Blessings

Word Of The Year

Courage

That is my word for the year.  I have it up around the house to remind me of what I need to help me be the best person I can be.

The last few years I and my family, friends and neighbours have been living with drought.  It has been a big part of our lives now for about the last 4 years.  Living, eating, breathing and talking about drought.  It is everywhere, on our cattle station, in our house, our finances, our appearances, our everyday conversations.  I am over it.

So it is that I am going to need COURAGE to make the changes I need to shift my overindulged droughted mentality.

I am going to need COURAGE to create the life I am yet to dream about and fully embrace.  I am going to have to gift myself the opportunity to have the big kick arse dreams that have been trying to poke through the haze of drought and lack  and poverty.

Some of theses include reigniting my passion for my horses and riding and creating an experiential learning place so that people can come together with my herd and learn from them.  And racing my horses at sprint races across the country side and standing my stallions at stud, and selling a few off spring to wonderful loving homes.

Another dream is to pay back the bank our big over extended loan that has more 0's on it then I thought was possible.  This is going to need COURAGE to change the mindset around debt and making the necessary changes in how we do business as a family run grazing enterprise.  It is going to need COURAGE to have all the tough conversations with family members and other services involved with our overall runnings.  It is going to need change for the better of our family, business, property and cattle.

I am going to need COURAGE to step up and stop hiding under my rock.  My life purpose is Spiritual Teacher in The Spotlight and that requires me to be doing spotlight things like teaching and talking in front of audiences, as well as writing and competing with my horses.

This is my Courage poster with a reminder of some of the things that I am going to need to bring to my Courage party.

Have you got a word you can use to help you through the year?  A reminder of who you would like to be, do or have more of for your year?  If you do I would love for you to leave a comment below.

Have a great day with many blessed hoof prints

F*^#K IT I AM ENOUGH!!!!!!

Today I had a comment from someone that really tipped me over the edge of what would normally piss me off.  I don't get pissed off very often and when I do it is usually very short lived.

This comment showed me that you know sometimes you can't be everything to everyone and you can't do everything especially when it is not your best interest, you do these things because it is a small community and someone has to help out.

Well that is what society makes us believe.

Society has created us to believe we are not enough, we don't do enough, we don't have enough, we don't know enough, we don't contribute enough.

Well you know what I have had enough of believing I am not ENOUGH.

When did I give my enoughness away?

I thought it was when I had my kids and got married.  Don't get me wrong I know in my kid's eyes I am enough.  It is everything else that is associated with growing up and taking on responsibility of another person is where I really let my enough go into the wind and started to listen to the expectations and beliefs of others.

Before this new chapter in my life I always had enough and I had no problems with being able to manifest all that I needed.

I had work, I had my horses, I was able to go away on weekends and compete and it was enough for me to have fun with my horses because the only person I wanted to better then was the person I was yesterday when I last rode.  I had friends, I had a roof over my head, I paid my bills easily.
I had ENOUGH and I was content with that.

Once another permanent person came on the scene my enough seemed to vanish.  Being a single mother was not enough, I had to get a job so it wouldn't look like I was bludging on society.  Then I had to get married because well intentioned people didn't think it was right for me to be a single mother with no father for my child.  And then once I was married the inlaws didn't think I was so suitable for their son, so I did more around the place so that I was pulling my weight and not bludging on the family business and then I kept taking on more roles.

The husband expected me to be like the neighbours wife.  She can do it all why can't you?  So now I get more involved with community groups and teaching my kids school and learning new skills jumping through so many damn hoops to keep all the different levels of society happy because they all want a piece of you at some point and they want it yesterday.   And I stopped riding my horses and having fun because I wasn't doing enough to please others.  So I kept doing and doing and doing and more, doing so that I might eventually be enough.

Enough for bloody what.

Some days I want to drop out of society and not take on anymore responsibility and roles and commitments.  I want to curl up under my rock and let it all go and when I am ready maybe I might come out of hibernation.

And you know what sucks?  By me showing up believing that I am not enough I am teaching my kids this as well.  I am teaching them that you supposedly have to keep going and doing and being MORE.  Because you are not ENOUGH.  And that stinks.  Because my kids are ENOUGH.

When will we be a citizens again?  Have you noticed that in all the marketing and advertising we are called CONSUMERS.  We have lost the title of being a citizen of a community to be a guzzling gutsing, wanting more consumers.  They play on us and our vulnerability so they can sell us shit we don't need.  They make us believe that there is not ENOUGH to go around, so hurry up and spend up before it is all gone.

I am wondering what would happen if we lived in the world with enough.  Enough Air to breath, enough food to eat, enough shelter to keep you dry, warm, cool.  Enough clothes, enough water, enough play, enough fun, enough LOVE.

What if we are ENOUGH.....................................

My Reframe On Words

Yesterday I had people come and visit to look at buying horses for their kids.  Leading up to them coming to visit I was making myself sick worrying that I hadn't done enough to get the horses ready because life and other commitments I let get in the way.  And the truth is I really didn't think I had horses that where suitable.  At this stage most of the horses that I have for sale are young and not had much work yet.  So I wasn't prepared to guarantee any of them.  And when kids are involved you really want to be sure you are selling a reliable horse.
Bonnet a brumby pony

The one horse that might of worked for them wasn't mine.  He was lent to my children for as long as we needed him, but his owners do have him up for sale.  When I asked the owner how much he wanted he put on an extravagant price.  But hey it is his horse and he can put on what ever price he likes.  So needless to say this horse was a little...... a lot out of the buyers budget.  Which I fully appreciated.
Fire Bug

The thing is I was talking to the father while his son was riding the horse and I heard myself say to him, "I am not very good at selling horses".  Later on I got to thinking about this and my choice of words.  They weren't a very good choice.  Really what I meant to say was "I don't DO selling horses very well YET".

Can you see and hear the difference in the play on words.  What I said sounds very, THIS IS SO AND THERE IS NO OTHER WAY AND IT CAN'T BE CHANGED.  Where as what I could of said allows for improving and change and getting much better at what I don't do very well yet.  And when I use the word DO it means it is an action that can be changed whenever I choose.  It is also letting the universe know that it is something I am going to get better at so that the universe can attract better outcomes for me.

I AM is a very powerful set of words and we use them to put our self down more times then we use them to lift ourselves up.  Just imagine if when we looked in the mirror we could say "I am beautiful or I am amazing", instead of all the other self destructive talk we use.

I would like to challenge you to notice how you talk about yourself,  especially when you are looking at the mirror or when you are talking to other people.  And when you do notice that you haven't been so nice to yourself have a go at reframing what you are saying so that it is not so intense and hurtful.  And if you have children notice how they talk about themselves and gently reframe their words to something that gives them more options to see how worth while they are.  You will be surprised of the flow on effect that this has.

So remember if you can't talk nicely about yourself then you cannot ask other to talk nicely of you.

Much love and have a great day

Stepping up

Carrying on from my last post I am needing to step up and embrace all that I have been learning about myself and my life purpose, life lesson and life school.  Part of having a life lesson and school of love is learning to embrace my fears of rejection and tomato fear (which is part of the lessons of my life purpose.  The "spotlight" part), which is the fear of having tomatoes thrown at me if people don't like what I have to say.

I am needing to get my foot of the brake and get a bit of courage up and tell people about my purpose.  It has taken me years to admit that I might be able to communicate between horses and people and help people see their reflection in their horses and help them move forward in their lives through my ability of observation of horse human interaction.  My mentors call it "horse whispering".  I don't know what to call it.  I struggle with the terminology of being a "Horse Whisperer"  I think of all the very talented horse people I know or know of and I start to compare myself.  I know what I do is different to them but they are the people who I think of when the term horse whisper is used.

In one of my mentoring sessions I told of a young horse that I was handling.  He has not really liked being round me ever since I had him castrated.  He is getting over that now though.  The other day I walked past him running my hand along his back as I went when he bit me on the back for what I thought was no reason.  My intuition straight out said to me "so where are you biting yourself on the back?"  And yes I would be my own worst back biter of myself, snapping at myself for entertaining thoughts of want and desire, even pushing myself out of my own herds telling myself I am too different or not good enough or people don't want to hear what I say.  All this is back biting and hurtful to myself.

Both my mentors said "so you are a horse whisperer".  And of course I went into denial as I tried processing their comment.  I am coming round to it now.  Although if I can find something else to call what I do something else, I will.  Any great ideas would be gratefully excepted.

My mentors have also been challenging me to speak about my gift to people and I have been dodging this too.  I have mentioned snippets to friends but that has been all.  So now I have blogged about it as blogging is a spot light action and it is easy to share through facebook and other social media.

I would love to hear your comments or feedback or if you have a name for what it is I do please leave a comment or send an email through the thingy on the side of the blog post.

Until next time xx

Accelerate/Brake

The markings on your hands can reveal so much about you and where you are at this point in time in your life.

Right now for me I have been reminded about some lines in my hands just across from the webby bit between my thumb and pointer finger.  There are some lines that go across my hands and some that go down ward or horizontal and vertical.  These are yes and no lines and in this particular part of my hand it is where the courage is.

So what these lines are telling me is that I have one foot on the accelerator and one foot on the brakes.  And it is all of my own doing.  I cannot blame others for slowing me or stopping me from living my purpose, it is me that is holding me back.

How do I get out of this and step into my courage at what ever cost?  I guess the first step is to take notice of my life lesson which is the same as my life school and that is LOVE.  Start by saying how I feel in the moment.  "I FEEL........." and embrace the feelings.  No matter what they are.  As a School of love person it is important for me to acknowledge my feelings and be ok with them and express them.

So my practice is to have the courage to express how I feel in the moment regardless of the expectation of others.

So here goes.....  "I feel nervous"  each time I write a post I am nervous of peoples reactions and if I have written something that people like what I have written and that I won't offend in any way.

The truth is I must write from my heart and if I do offend it is really none of my business.

Celebrating 2014

WOW

Another year has trundled past and it has been pretty interesting.  For me personally looking back I felt I hadn't achieved all that I had set out to do.  But when I look at bit closer at the year it had been pretty hectic.

Between all 3 kids going to boarding school and the emotional rollercoaster that goes along with the ups and downs of kids leaving the nest, keeping up with the chores that they usually do when they are home, helping round the property with mostly managing, what seemed like a never ending drought.  All of which most of us on the land deal with everyday.

So when it came time for us to do our annual "Celebration Board" to celebrate all the magic and miracles that have happened throughout the year I was a little stuck.  This was because I was so caught up thinking about the STUFF that I didn't get done that I just couldn't see the good Stuff.

At the end of each year we, as a family, do a celebration board to acknowledge the milestones, accomplishments and many other things that have happened for us during the year.  We get a large piece of paper and stick it up on a wall that we can see form nearly anywhere in the house. and then we draw, write and decorate it with images and words from the year that was.  Sometimes it takes a bit of prodding but once we are on a roll there is a lot of "WHAT ABOUT THAT" or "REMEMBER THIS".
Although some of this picture is a bit hard to see we celebrated things like racing horses at the Richmond Bush races, new pups, a new horse for Taya, RAIN and the Rainbows that go with rain, Grade 7 camp, a cutting clinic that was held here at Uanda, & work for our machinery.

It is a great activity to do as a family and it helps us to remember to be grateful for all that we have been blessed with over the year.

How do you remember your year and give thanks or celebrate all that was.  Or if you did a celebration board similar to our family I would love to hear from you.

They Call Me on My S*#t

It was great having the kids home for the holidays.  They where a big help to me around the place doing all the chores that I do while they are at school, freeing up my time to get other stuff done.  It is not just the work load that they reduce it is the noise from jokes, pranks, laughter and the extra hugs and support that I really appreciate when they are home.

They are real levellers to.  I've done my best to expose them to different ways of thinking and ways and tools to be more resilient in life through all my learning's.  They sit through many hours in the car listening to all sorts of self help, motivational or inspirational cd's.  So when I am having a bad hair day they are very good at reminding me of something that we listened to and how I am not practicing what I am preaching, so to speak.  It makes me laugh because I sometimes wonder who is the adult and who is the child.  And I am often amazed by how much they take in from what I am learning because there is often a lot of eye rolling and moans and groans coming from the back seat of the car as they get out  a book to read or go to sleep.

I love it when they call me out on my S*#T moments, because it means that I have been reacting to a person or a situation instead of responding.  When I react things just come out of my mouth, it is not thought about.  It is often hurtful or just plain dumb and I don't feel very nice afterwards.  But when I respond it is done with thought and consciousness.  I allow myself to take a few deep breaths and allow myself to feel the emotions that have surfaced and then consciously respond.  I say it how I am feeling it and I am acknowledging my needs and feelings.  I am also less inclined to take things personally so whatever has happened really doesn't bother me as much or at all.

It is a practice to be able to respond to a situation.  I say practice because it doesn't just happen.  It takes awareness to know when you are reacting or responding and it is something that you realise after the fact, most times.  Even recognising when you have reacted afterwards is better then not recognising reactions at all because this just helps to heighten your awareness even more and make a conscious choice to respond differently next time.

Luckily for me I have the kids to help me practice conscious responding.

If you like magazines, especially country/horse related ones I invite you to check out "The Horse Downunder" mag where I write the Lighten Your Load column and other occasional articles.

Until next time have fun responding to life's little moments.

TRUST

Well the rain has been a little on the scarce side of things lately.  Not a lot to skite about in that department here.  Hopefully you have received some to help you through.

In April I hosted a cutting clinic here at Uanda.  I have never done cutting before.  I have watched it a few times and I have campdrafted with my favourite part of having a campdraft run being the cut out section.  So when I was asked if I would like to host a clinic I was pretty excited.  Saying yes to hosting the clinic was the easy part, getting people to actually coming along and parting with their money was the difficult bit.  I annoyed people with emails and posts on Facebook as well as putting up fliers around the local towns.  It felt like I was really pushing and begging for people to come and this was very deflating as I was not getting the results I had intended.

When Tony the clinician rang before he was to leave his place in NSW, to see how numbers where going I was not feeling very good about hosting the clinic.  I was ready to cancel.  Feeling like a bit of a failure,  Tony encouraged me to wait a few more days and see how things went and maybe I might get the extra numbers needed.  We tossed some different ideas around like shifting the location to Hughenden, which would have made it difficult to have access to cattle and would have created a larger work load for us all.  I was a nervous wreck because I wanted this clinic to go ahead only I had no clue where the extra riders where coming from.

After my conversation with Tony I had to have a sit down and re access how I was going about things.  What was I doing to block the clinic from going ahead.  Because it was me that was the problem here.  I new that there was people out there that wanted to come only I was blocking things up with my own thoughts and beliefs.  I had to let go.  I had to let go of being in control and trying to control the outcome.  I had to let go of my limiting beliefs and thoughts.  I had to ask for help.  And when you are a control freak, who do you ask to help you?  I didn't know who to ask for help in the way of people.  So I prayed and I asked God, the Universe and the Angels for help.  I turned it all over to them.  "If this clinic is meant to be, please help me to get the rest of the riders I need to help this clinic to go ahead.  Please guide me in the right direction to let the right people know.  This or something better."  And then I had to trust.  Trust my intuition when I heard the messages to go ahead and do something.

Well I trusted my intuition when it said to repost on facebook and from that over the course of the weekend the remaining spaces for the clinic filled.  And these riders came from a totally different area to where I had been trying so hard to get riders from.  These riders that came had to jump hurdles to get here to ride.  And one of the major draw cards for them was the location.  Out on a cattle property miles from everyday comforts.
So what are you holding on so tightly to and trying to control the outcome of?  I am curious, what would happen if you LET GO and gave your problems, worry, concerns away to God, or the Universe or the Angels or Source?  And just TRUST the downloads of your intuition or gut feelings as to when to take action.  And how much more easier do results happen for you when you LET GO?

 Have a great week

PS
If you like Magazines have a look in the "Horse Downunder"mag's winter edition for the article and photos I wrote for this clinic.

The School of Love

When you have a hand analysis done to discover your LIFE PURPOSE you also get to discover your life lesson.  Your life lesson is found in your finger prints by counting up how many of the same type of finger prints you have.  To be in the school of love - which is the most common of the schools people are in.  You need at least 7-8 loop type finger prints.

This is me.  I am in the school of Love with 8 loops.  And being in the school of love means I need to be emotionally authentic and express my feelings authentically and to the right people.  When I am expressing how I feel and am coming from a place of love, life and all it's adventures are a lot easier to negotiate.

When I am in the lesson for LOVE, which sometimes is more often then not, life is not as easy.  Things don't go right and I do to much for people and then resent it.  Or I get cranky at myself for not speaking up and saying what I am feeling about how others decisions and responses are effecting me.

As a school of LOVE person I am learning to master my emotions and stay fully present to my emotions and to feel them.  That is the full range of emotions everything from ecstasy to anger.  They all need my attention when they show up.  And it is ok to have these emotions regardless of the people around me as it is my stuff.  People will be uncomfortable around me at times, but that is ok.  It is not for them to tell me how to feel.  But it is my responsibility to let people know how I am feeling at that particular point in time if they are part of the emotion.  And do do it from a place of LOVE.

What I can tell you is I am a long way from mastering this.  And the more lessons I seem to learn the more I am able to help others who are going through similar circumstances.

If you would like to know your LIFE SCHOOL then email me at info@jodymurraycoaching.com or use the message box over to the side - over there on the right or give me a call on 07 47417017

Short Term Pain = Long Term Gain

The kids are going well at school.  There are the occasional tears from the twins when they call of an evening.  It is mostly when they are having a low moment and start thinking about their pets and wondering how the rest of us are going.  It seems though once they are with their friends and doing something that the low moment passes and they are back being happy chaps again.

In the times of their tears and asking to come home it is my job as their mother to hear what they feel they need to say, and at the same time not get caught up in the emotion of it all so that my mind and emotions are free to be more of a supporter rather then a worrier.  Because worrying does not serve them and it does not serve me.  We waist a lot of time worrying about things that are out of our control or none of our business.  It does not help the other party involved as it pushes unwanted energy their way and restricts the choices that they make.  And it ties up our creative mind so that it is to busy thinking worry thoughts to be helpful and thinking creative, constructive, solution finding thoughts.

And if I don't teach the kids now, how to cope with things they may not necessarily like but are beneficial to their long time learning and future it will be an even bigger struggle for them down the track when it is really going to count.  "Short term pain will = Long term gain"

And my grade 7 twin is now teaching one of his mates this concept.  Grade 7 twin is getting in and getting his home work done.  Even if it means spending extra time before or after his allotted study time and getting extra homework help in his lunch breaks or after school.  The story he tells himself to get in and get his homework done is - if he gets in and gets it finished now means extra time to play later.

Now his friend wants to play first, dawdle through the study period, not worry about homework help so he can play and then when it is at the last minute realizes he has not done his homework starts to panic and the asks Grade 7 twin if he can copy his work.  And I have to say that I am very proud of Grade 7 twin as he told his mate, No he can't copy his work, but I will give you some help to understand what the homework is asking you to do.  By doing this he is helping his friend by not just giving in and letting him copy work which does no favours for either boy.  The mate is learning and Grade 7 twin is reinforcing what he has learnt by helping his mate understand what the tasks are.
And they will probably in the years to come have a better friend ship because Grade 7 twin didn't give in and just hand over his work for his mate to copy.

My Life Purpose

My life purpose is "Innovative Spiritual Teacher in the Spotlight"

I found this out 4 years ago when I had my scientific hand analysis reading done.  Wean I had my reading done I was in a place of confusion. I new I was meant to do more with my life and I felt like I needed to be helping lots of people only I was confused and didn't have a clew of what I was meant to do.  I had lots of advise from well meaning friends that like to say, "If I was you I'd be doing............."  Their advise just didn't feel right.

It was by investing in myself and taking a prints of my hands and getting a reading done that I was able to find out my life purpose.  And it is the finger prints in our hands that tells us this.  We are born with a unique set of finger prints that never change.  They are formed in about week 16 while we are still in eutero.  Other things in our hands change, like the shape, the lines and the markings, our finger prints never change.

There where a couple of other things that I learnt about myself to, like my life school and my life lesson.

I am in the school of LOVE.  There are 4 life schools, Love, Service, Wisdom & Peace.  Being in the school of Love means learning to be authentic and not hide my feelings, say how I feel in the moment and to the appropriate person.  What a challenge this is and I will share more about this in future blogs.

My life lesson is also around love.  It is all about stuffing my feelings and not speaking my truth and not being emotionally authentic.  The life lessons that are in our hands are things that are going to challenge us regularly and it comes from many different angles.  It is like shedding the skin f an onion.  Just when you get one layer peeled there is another.  It is when we recognise that we are in our lesson phase and moving through it that we then start to live our life purpose.

So if you are feeling stuck and unsure of your direction email me and book a scientific hand analysis session.  For a very short time I am offering hand readings for $147 and this includes the hand print kit, a 45 minute reading over the phone, a recording of the reading and your hand print chart.

So go to the contact form to the right side of your screen and book your session now.

It's Coming

The rain, that is.....

We are still waiting for decent rain.  For some reason the rain is falling to the north of us, to the south of us and to the east and west of us, but not on us.  There seems to be a pocket here in north west Queensland that is missing out.  Although there are a lot of people in the same boat as us.  Seeing our neighbours get rain with none falling on our own properties.

All though rain has been very sparse I am very grateful for the little bits we have had as it has kicked the grass along giving some relief to the cattle.  It still means carting water to areas where the dams are dry.

The rain is coming though.  One thing about mother nature is she knows what she is doing and she doesn't like to be controlled by us.  If anything this drought is teaching me patience and to trust.  I  am learning to be patient while I wait for rain to come.  I am learning to be patient with people who are not patient and throwing themselves down with the "poor me syndrome" because things are out of their control and they seem to be the only ones affected by this drought.  I am learning to be patient with things that are outside my control, the environment, the cattle markets or lack of.  Most of all I am learning to be patient with me, especially when I have a moment when I am being unresourceful and I am yet to become consciously aware of my actions.

I am learning to trust, trust that it will rain, trust in the environment, trust that the cattle markets will improve, trust that people are doing the best they can with the resources that they have at this point in time, trust in my ability to come out of this as a more loving, compassionate, empathic person, trust that if things don't go to my plan that I am going to be perfectly OK and where I am meant to be and that the outcome is going to be better then I expected.

And you know what?  It's coming......  The rain, that is.  It might be next week, next month or next year.  It is coming.......

Flexability, Possibilities & Opportunities

What an interesting year it has been so far.  We are still being teased by this drought and occasional showers of rain that pass very fleetingly.  All of my children are now in boarding school.  It is a big adjustment to not have them all around.  Sending the kids away to boarding school is a choice we made.  I couldn’t face spending another 6 years of home schooling and I sure couldn’t give them the opportunities of education, sport or new friends from here.

The oldest child has already had a year away at school, which she loved every bit of.  And this has made it a little bit easier for the twins although being boy and girl twins, the girl twin has had it a bit easier as she knew a few of the older girls.  The boy twin he found going into boarding a little more challenging as he didn’t know any of the boys except for one that he did distance ed. with.

We, as a family have spent the last couple of years talking openly about boarding school with the children preparing them and getting them to think of all the possibilities and opportunities that they will be presented with while they are there.  It has always been said that “you may not like it, but make the most of it.”

The oldest does this very well.  She is making the most of any opportunity that comes her way and this has helped her to adapt and be very flexible.  The twins, who are dearly missing all their menagerie of animals and old way of life, will in time learn to adapt and grab each opportunity with both hands and make the most of their time at school.

One thing about life, it is a constant change.  Nothing stays the same.  It is how we choose to embrace the changes that make the difference.  And the more adaptable and flexible we are to change often times the easier it is to embrace.  We may not like the change, but if we find a way to make the most of it the more possibilities and opportunities open up for us.

What is stopping you from being flexible in your life?  Do you need help to open up to opportunities and possibilities?  Did you know that the things that challenge us the most are our greatest learnings to help us create an even better life.
